One of the quieter OB's. I'm happy to report that a few single meals still exist even though their focus is on platters and quantity. Although the staff are friendly the food took almost forever to come. Food from OB is quick in general but the same can't be said for this one. Once it arrived it really was up to the standard that everyone's come to love. If you're in a hurry this is not the place.
The good thing about going to eat at this establishment is that they managed to keep a high standatd. Great place for a quick fish and chips for R54.00. Cant beat this price for a sit down meal.

A manager that makes sure he visits every table, waitrons are very well trained even when in training they on the ball, food is brilliant and very well made and comes very quickly. Looking for a nice place for a decent meal but not to formal, be sure to make a stop
The manager welcomes his patriants with a friendly smile, giving you a good reason to walk inside. The staff service is fantastic. The fish is cooked to perfection. Always a pleasure to eat there.
Your usual franchise with good selection of seafood. Very good value for money if you looking for a seafood platter. Comfortable restaurant with a great view if you sit closer to the windows. Good seafood and good service.
Ocean basket has been one of my families favorite restaurants for ages. The brand is an affordable and tasty option to eating out. the menu hold a vast range of seafood from sushi, to mussels to prawns to hake to salmon. The menu constantly updates and changes according to which outlet you go to. It's all yummy and really affordable. This outlet is one of our go to Ocean Baskets, as it has a great vibe to it and the service is good, however there is always room for improvement.
Considering it was Father's Day and the restaurant was packed, and we were a very big table of 19... Service was great and the food was fantastic! Always good value for money. 1 point off for a few bones in the hake and the fact that the table seating was for 1 person less than we booked for .
I do love ocean basket! Such reasonably priced seafood and I've never had a bad meal! The staff at this branch are so friendly and efficient so it's great! The calamari and prawns are always a win! And I love the side salads- no lettuce, it's great!!
We had a wonderful evening at Ocean Basket tonight. The food was quick and delicious; the atmosphere was relaxed; the view from the open balcony windows of Johannesburg was beautiful and our waitress Thembie was friendly and efficient. We will definitely be back.

♡Lemon-Garlic butter Mussels & chips (decent oven-baked frozen chips; soaks up the sauce well!)
☆Tuna California rolls
Absolutely loved it. The staff were on the ball and the manager as well. Had our very busy 2 year old with us and the staff kept her occupied and happy for the meal.

We received such amazing service at Ocean Basket Bedford Village. The food was also delicious! Frans is such an amazing manager. Give this place a 10/10 and highly recommend it.
Ocean basket is my go to comfort meal. Bedford Village has an amazing view of the Joburg skyline, which is even better at sunset.
Listen, this place has great food, no complaints about the service. It was a great experience. I would just like to request some music for a vibe baby, that's all you missing 🎶😊😏

Delicious well prepared food. It was my birthday treat. Loved it.
We were there on the 31/12/2016 at the V&A in Capetown to celebrate new year. We didnt get any Restaurants cos they all required bookings for not less then R900.(way above our budgets).Just on the verge of giving up we saw Oceans basket and although we had to stand in line the meals were worth every minute of waiting. Friendly staff as well.
NB: be careful with the Toilette floor.
