Food was great. Had wings with shoe string fries. I would have given it 5-Star or even 6-star if my conscience allowed me to leave the restaurant without paying. The waitress was non existent most of the time and even when we approached the exit door and waited at the counter to pay, the waitress didn’t even know we had not paid and gesture to the rest of the waiters that we were waiting for takeaways. It wasn’t a busy night though.

After spending the whole day at a conference, we decided to sneak out and grab a bite to eat. We wanted food that would be fast, but better quality and taste than normal fast food. RocoMamas was the perfect choice.
I ordered the BBQ and wings combo. The BBQ basting is spicy and smokey, the wings cooked perfectly and the portion size was generous to say the least. You couldn't ask for more.
Service was average but the waitrons were super friendly which was nice.
Overall it was a great move eating at RocoMamas.

Wow , what a great concept , choose your burger type , your toppings and send in your form. Always good service and repeatable satisfying food. For vegetarians they have a great chick pea and veg burger. Their hot sauce is really great and their thin shoestring chips are always just super delicious , certainly a place not to be missed ..

This is my go-to burger when dinner comes and I’m liss for a burger. Notice that it is my go-to on the run, take it home burger. This is simply because I cannot stand the music that is played in the restaurant. It truly and honestly puts me off the whole atmosphere and experience of enjoying my burger. I do really like that their burgers are not oily, you’re given crispy bacon, their delivery is consistent. For someone who is loyal and frequent a big negative would be the head bashing music that blasts.

The Bedford bomb is what called us here, well my husband to be precise. This place is extremely busy and so we waited about 45 mins to get our food, the service was good and the host very accommodating. My chilli cheese bomb was ok, the bomb not so cheesy. The Bedford bomb was way to hot for me to handle, one bite and my tongue died. My husband on the other hand enjoyed it but did say it's a challenging eat. It's a must if you love chillies and wana try one of the hottest chillies in the world.
This was my first visit to Rocamamas in Bedfordview and overall it was a satisfactory experience. The place has a relaxed, trendy vibe and while not overly spacious, is comfortable enough, I know they are all about the burgers, but a couple of additional options on their fairly limited menu wouldn't hurt. The build your own burger concept is a good idea in theory but I found the tickbox menu a bit annoying. The burgers themselves are really good though and I would definitely return just to try a different one next time. The service was reasonably good and the pricing is reasonable.
This place never ever disappoints, funny how I don't know where the shop is located but it is most visited on my UberEats, I guess it qualifies for a review, pity I cannot rate the in store service. I will give it a thumbs up for efficiency though, delivery is always on time and I've never, not even once had an item missing.
If you're having one of those lazy days of not wanting to step outside, have them deliver your food. The temperature is always right and the food doesn't need to be warmed up.
I'm lactose intolerant but the type that eats what is told not to eat 🙈. I have fallen in love with the chilli cheese fries ( not sure if they call them that), you all know though that cheese just adds that flavour to the taste buds 😂😂.
The food is absolutely amazing. Everything is well priced, and the service is top notch! Plenty of safe parking, and well lit at night. Well worth a visit, burgers, wings and ribs and various options of bastings and souses and toppings. Easy simple dining, casual vibe.

I have not been to roccomammas in a long long time because my first experience was not the greatest but sheesh, the food my boyfriend and I had not so long ago was very good and very delicious! We are both vegetarian and were slightly apprehensive about the veggie burger but wow I was very satisfied with mine! I had the cheese burger option and it was so yummy packed full of flavour and deliciousness, my boyfriend had the plain basic option with added caramelized onions and he too was very impressed! And the French fries: they were divine! The service and our waitress was really lovely and helpful! Thank you for a great experience! We will be back soon.
Last Saturday we ventured out to Rocomamas Bedfordview in search of their latest offering the "Bedford Bomb"...when ordering the burger you are given a disclaimer to sign as the burger contains the Carolina reeper chilli.... man oh man was it hot but absolutely delicious.
It was so divine that I made the mistake of licking my lips 😲😲😲😤😤😤 talk about numbing painful burning stabbing pain...but yes I will try it again!!!
Be sure to order one of their divine milkshakes to help you cool off and if that doesn't work try placing your lips on the ice cold glass 😂

What a fiery experience this was. This Rocomamas branch offers some exclusive burgers. The Bedford Bomb and the Bedford Reaper are probably 2 of the hottest things I've ever eaten. So hot you have to sign a disclaimer before eating it! We were trepidatious to order one Bedford Bomb each, eventhough we love chilli so four of us shared one. And it was fire! 12 on the "lip remover index". It tasted good the first bite but then the heat builds and it lingers, boy does the heat linger! After one vanilla milkshake and sucking on ice cubes was I fine. These burgers are only available at the Bedfordview branch. Try it if you dare. Overall the food was good and service speedy even in a busy packed restaurant. Try the waffles. Indulgent!

Very casual dining experience. The food is absolutely amazing though. Indulged in their new promo burger - The Mofo with some chilly cheese fries - and it's absolutely amazing! The staff are very helpful and the food is always fesh- definitely the kind of place I would like to go back to for more!
Was there a couple weeks ago, sat down and made our order, the drinks came quickly but unfortunately our food was taking rather long (+30mins) in a half full restaurant - the manager was extremely professional and had noticed we were waiting longer than necessary, he followed up and immediately came to inform us that unfortunately the system had not registered our order when it was plugged in and apologized sincerely, he rushed our order through and informed me and my girlfriend (with a very friendly smile and attitude I might add) that our meal would be on the house due to the error. The food came shortly after and it was just as delicious as every other meal we've had there! Love the vibe of the place and great service from the kind manager, well done!
The best thing about rocomamas is that they have a veg option for their parties, which means a lot for the vegetarian community. Not many restaurants have burgers that are vegetarian. The service is good and the portions of the chips are very big.

I enjoyed eating at this branch as its got a good vibe and is conveniently situated. The food was good, all my friends enjoyed it. I do wish that the Rocomamas franchise had more vegetarian and vegan options though.
This was the first Rocomamas I had ever come to and I loved the vibe and openness of the place. The staff is always friendly and quite fast.
I came by for a take away lunch order last week for a diy smash burger and some chilli con carne loaded fries. The waitress came to let me know that they unfortunately didn't have caramelised red onion, but I had already paid so they let me choose any other topping off the menu. Even though the bacon was a bit more expensive she let me add it which was nice. The burger was tasty. The ingredients were fresh and the patty was juicy. The loaded fries lacked a bit of flavour and could have done with a lot more cheesiness, but they were still good. I'll definitely be back here for future burger cravings.

I ordered a veg burger (still no halal options) with mushroom sand spicy mayo. My brother and aunts ordered other options, also veg based. In addition this, we asked for nachos and an Oreo milkshake.
The nachos were a bit salty and were drowning in tomato and guacamole, I would have prefered these as sides. The Oreo shake was just crushed oreo with vannila ice-cream, it lacked substance. The Creme Brulee shake I ordered last time was better.
The service was good, the waiters and manager professional and attentive.
A place I'll visit again whenever I feel like a burger, especially as it's located 2 minutes from my house.
I and my sister and brother in law haw eaten take-aways from Roco Mamas on a number of occasions and I must say that he food has been excellent each and every time. Burger patties are by far the best I have tasted and the helpings of chips in generous, plus the milkshakes are packed full of flavour, and their pricing is good. I would definitely recommend them as an eatery to go to is you are looking for a great meal.

Exactly what we've come to expect from Roco's; one of the best burgers bar none, great variety and options, friendly staff and a well-themed venue. In, eat, drink and out in under an hour. You can always rely on this place to give you 9/10. At just under R100 per person it isn't cheap but about the best value.
Have been there a few times and have had a good experience each time! The apple draft is amazing and the burgers are yum! Portions are big so it's definitely great value for money

I am a huge Rocomamas fan and I will find any excuse to grab a Bacon & Guacamole Burger with a small chips and an Oreo Milkshake. Regardless of the location the food is always great at Rocomamas and with Spur Corp taking over the development of the brand we are sure to see a lot more Rocomamas opening up in the future.
With regards to this specific Rocomamas I have had a few bad experiences with the service. On one occassion they forgot to take our booking and on another occassion the food took really long (in comparison to other Rocomamas). The managers have always been apologetic and when it happens once it's easily forgotten but when there is track record of service issues you start get concerned for the outlet. With that said the food is always so good that you generally forget about the service and focus purely on how delicious your meal was.
Took my brother to Rocomamas for the first time. He gobbled up his burger in s3conds. .. the burgers r too juicy and saucy BUT the wings could be better. They were very dry and bland. However, they r the go-to guys for burgers.
My sister and I have become huge Rocomama fans of recent! The concept of designing your own burger with your favorite toppings is awesome and leaves for a personal mouth-watering combo. We also LOVE the coleslaw and shoe string fries. This branch is a bit crowded and service is pretty average but the food is great!
Finally decided to try Rocomamas last night and I must say that I was impressed.
My boyfriend and I were greeted by the manager on arrival who seated us at our table.
We ordered chicken wings for starters which was old skool bbq flavoured with a blue cheese dip. They were fantastic.
I had the mushroom swizz burger which was absolutely delicious and fresh with lots of mushrooms and cheese. Tyler Cleeve had the chilli cheese bomb which he said was really spicy and enjoyable. From all the reviews Ive seen I expected the chips to be fantastic but I found them rather stale and average.
We tried the g milkshakes- I had the belgian chocolate one and Tyler had the peanut butter one. They were quite average and not really what I expected.
The service is really great here and we received our meal really quickly. Our waitresses name was Rose and she was fantastic.

Eventhougj it sèems to be the flavour of the month - I found the burgers to be mediocre. No complaints about the service. Friendly staff. The burgers were quite small and mine was dry and overooked. Must have been a bad night!
This has now become my favourite take away joint. The pork ribs with the Bourbon sauce are outstanding and the teriyaki wings with blue cheese sauce are mourish.
Excellent burgers and craft beer selection. Building your own burger is awesome, the nachos are also fantastic and portion sizes are very big!

Having had my first Rocomamas burger at the Rosebank branch last weekend, I couldn't help but want to try the Rocomamas in Bedfordview since I live this side of town.
My boyfriend and I decided to grab some lunch. I ordered a veggie burger with Emmental, caramelized onions and mushrooms and my boyfriend had a beef burger titled "BaconCheezeGuac."we also ordered a medium fries to share.
I must say, I was extremely happy with my burger. Last weekend at Rosebank, there was no Emmental on my burger despite being charged for it. My boyfriend really enjoyed his burger too and constantly said "it's the best burger ever! Even you'll eat meat, babe!" (I'm vegetarian). The fries, as always were incredible!
I must say, the service here was exceptionally good. We constantly had management checking up on us and our waitress was super friendly.
The vibe here is pretty similar to the other Rocomamas but pretty awesome nonetheless.
I like that it's more in a secluded part of Bedfordview yet still attracts customers.
I have found my go to place for a quick tasty burger. Other places are using the concept of ordering your burger by filling out a little form but this place is by far the tastier option. Can't wait to try the one near Greenstone. I realise the photos I took are rather plain but my way of thinking is that if the plain burger is not tasty, no amount of covering that taste up will help. I ordered two of the simplest burgers for myself and my little one and they were thoroughly enjoyed. We will be back!
Went to Rocomamas for the very first time tonight for an early dinner. The atmosphere is very relaxed. The waiter's explanation of the menu was awesome. The burgers were quite safely the best we have had in a very long time and the chicken wings was juicy. Can't wait to go back and try the ribs.
Just like the more established Rocomamas in other parts of Gauteng, this branch offers fantastic food, quick and friendly service and fun vibe. I love getting exactly what I want with the tick-box menu and I simply can't go to Rocomamas without getting wings, burger AND a shake. Always fantastic, even when going to franchises further afield.
So it's the latest trend "build your own" same concept here. If you into burgers, ribs and wings then you'll enjoy . Nice size burgers but the patty quite tasteless so you'll need your toppings. The pancakes looked delicious. Very typical American diner joint!
Build your own burger concept, not a fan of burgers so was average for me, I found them quite tasteless if you don't add enough toppings. The milkshakes were sickly sweet.
Fun burger joint. I had a bacon and cheese burger. It was great, definitely better than the average fast food joint. If you are keen for burgers with a slight twist go to rocamamas. The service was really good at this particular branch.

At first, Rocomamas was not our favorite place - it was never bad but nothing special, however, after giving it another two tries - they have really grown on us. The last burgers we ate was with crispy bacon and mushrooms which was a perfect combination with their original beef smash burger. This is an ideal location for a chilled date night with your significant other on a relaxed Friday night.
Really nice joint for a good burger and milkshake! It is a bit noisy inside for my liking, but the food is superb! The burgers are great as you can create your own version with toppings etc. A place the youngsters will love!

A great place to come and relax with the whole family! The best burgers I've had in a very long time. The milkshakes bring the boys to the yard and some hot boys there were. The friendly staff and excellent service makes this place "one for the books" or in this case "one for the Zomato App". Highly recommended!
Awesome place. Was absolutely packed! But you can see why. The burgers are massive and tasty. I had the ribs which were so meaty and absolutely delish!! Could eat that meal all over again today!! The service was good and I think the prices are also great!
Went there last night for burgers and drinks and was a little disapointed that they only had two of the craft beers available as listed on there menu. When the drinks arived the glasses had just come straight out of the dishwasher and we're still hot. I asked the waiter to change them but he clearly didn't understand and chose to ignore my request. The 4 burgers that were ordered were excellent and enjoyed by all. Pleasant experience pity about waiter experience.
Went here for dinner last night because I had cravings for good burgers and McDonald didn't make the cut.
We arrived around 6:30PM on a Monday and it was already so busy,
I ordered a creme brûlée milkshake, it wasn't bad, but would I order it again? Probably not
For starters my partner and I shared the 4 piece wings in Peri Peri sauce, these were so hot that we couldn't even finish them because our mouths were on fire, definitely don't recommend the sauce if you can't tolerate extra spicy,
For mains I had the bacon cheese guac burger with shoe string fries, the burger hit the spot and the fries were also good,
For dessert we shared the granadilla and custard flapjacks, these are so delicious you must try them if you go there, they have just the right amount of sweetness.
Probably the tastiest burger I've had. Excellent fries and a good American truck stop theme. Service was a little sparse and could have been more regular but I would definitely go there when I'm feeling like a gourmet burger.
The Smashburger- that's right! It is so good you just want to smash the whole burger into your face as soon as possible. I even removed 2/3 of the bun and the burger was still delicious. Best burger I have had in years. Service was very friendly at the start and then unfortunately we had to jump up and down to get a second drink which only arrived after we finished our meal and by the time we paid for the meal the waitress forgot that she had to be as nice to us. Great vibe, excellent food, strange service.

What a great experience. Saw a buzzing shop driving past and decided to check it out. Well worth it. Food great and service was as well. I ordered the BCG (bacon, cheese and guac) and it was amaaaaazing. I also ordered the small fries, which were a very generous portion. Hot, fresh and crispy too. All in all, the total bill (for 2 people, drinks and tip included) was R175. Very reasonable for an absolutely delicious meal
Their beverage menu is also well suited to after work drinks. In the beer department they have all the local favourites as well as the usual selection of craft brews (both bottles and draughts). I’ll definitely be back!!!

Visited this place on sunday, and even at 6 PM, this place was almost full, whereas most of the neighbor places were empty. The food is good. The chips portion size is quite big.
Wow. Hubby and I decided to go to Roco Mammas Bedfordview tonight. What a nice place. Atmosphere awesome, we got there at about seven and it was packed. Got a seat immediatly (it was only the two of us). Ordered drinks and burgers and it arrived within 15 min of order placed!! And like I said they were packed. Burgers are to die for, really something diffirent! Will definitly go back again!!
Hands down a great burger, cool vibe and good service! Burgers are simple, uncomplicated and just a really good pattie. Got some awesome beers to wash all the goodness down with aswell!

Not being the biggest fan or burgers, I was a little hesitant to try Rocomamas. To say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement. I loved the idea of creating your own burger. I made a simple burger, my choice of toppings being caramalised red onion, emental cheese and rocket on top of the standard smash burger.
The waitress was charismatic and encouraged us to make alias names on our forms, which she used hilariously the whole night. The food was fresh and delicious. I'll definitely be back! The ribs look delicious, I'll have to try them next time ☺️
Loving having a Rocomamas near my place, the food here is also consistent and fresh every time. I have a new favorite , the cheese and bacon chicken burger with extra bacon. Would love more spice on the chips though.
I decided to take P out to Rocomamas to try out their burgers. Thinking that it woukd be something totally different to what we nornally do or even visit.. so the adventure side of me spring out.
P had a bbq wing which I thought tasted good, sweet and sour taste. I took the Buffalo hot wings. To be honest, its really not worth the price charged, the wings should be called winglets...
The burger patty itself was a bit bland. I had the Double D Cheese burger... overall it was a good burger, but just a teeny weeny little seasok required on the patty to bring out the flavours. Im not a fan of mayo but tolerated it. The fries came in a syeel basket which looked really nice, it had like a chicken spice on it which was seriously lekker.. the ambiance is viby young and electric, there was heavy rock in the background which made conversing difficult.. I ulmust say I enjoyed the Randburg branch more but thia one still good. Thank you for an awesome evening out, sorry the rating was not too hot
Mmmmmmmmm and that's what my nose told me. Tried to get into Rocomama's a few times. So we went for an early lunch. Nice table outside and served in seconds. I chose a bacon & blue cheese burger with jalapeñowith a mountainous medium fries. Jen ordered a chicken burger with chilli mayo and avocado. Both burgers where excellent and the service super fast, but not intrusive. The experience is very much like GBC just a bit more trendy restaurant and not take a way like GBC.
All in all I recommend Rocomama's good vibe, I'll be going back.
Sooooo we didn't know we had a rocomamas in the south, so Thando and I drove all the way to Bedford for this establishment. I love the feel of the place, I like the idea of some of the meals being written on their t-shirts, makes my life easier. I don't like that they only have one toilet though, but this doesn't take away from the fact that the food is real good. The burgers are the best... Really. The ribs are even better. The chicken wings... Errr, could be better.

Went with the familia after hearing all about it for months and it was totally worth it!! Every bite was spectacular and filled with tones of flavour!! I loved their Mofo wings and their mushroom swiss burger with additional toppings!! Would go back in a heart beat!!
Burger joint with a different twist! Build your own burger was mighty fun. A great place with some craft beers and burgers for all. Delicious mouth watering food and service with a smile. In a packed crowd like that, the wait for food was not even 10min. No bookings, so if you late, you wait a while but so well worth the wait! 😁🍺🍔
Only ordered at Rocomama's Bedfordview as a take away but their food is excellent, lacking a little on their sides compared with Brooklyn Brothers but their smash burgers are very nice! Great chips & milkshakes
Great atmosphere and vibe!! Manager and staff were the bet, told them we feeling a bit chilly and on a busy night did their best to change our table and get us warm again with some sweet fire ribs! Delicious, definitely going back again and again, better than the others I've been too and by far the best management and staff, well done

Great vibe, good food and service. Only two things that disappointed me a bit was the lack of craft beer - they only have two of the beers that are on the menu and the restaurant is pretty cramped when full. Other than that it's brilliant value for money.
We arrived to a full house restaurant and were welcomed at the door by the very efficient hostess who offered us a drink as the wait for seating was a long one.
Once seated, our meals arrived very quickly. I had the Bacon & Cheese double burger with additional pickles. It was fantastic, the beef was well-grilled and the toppings as well as the bun were fresh.
For sides we had a BBQ Bean salad which was great and a Greek salad which arrived already dressed, I would have preferred to dress it myself as there was a bit too much vinegar and oil.
Also ordered the peri-peri chicken wings with the Ranch dip and they were also very good and flavourful.
We thoroughly enjoyed the meal here tonight.
Rocomamas is an awesome fresh concept and I sure hope they can maintain the great food and vibe.

My wife and I decided to give Rocomamas a try for my birthday yesterday and I have to say, it was good!
I read reviews about this place and one thing that is true which most of them mention is that it is very busy. We went there at around 2:30pm and there were very few tables left. That should be testament to the fact that the food is good, although the establishment is not that big. We were welcomed at the door in a friendly and pleasant manner and shown to our table. Service was fast and efficient. The food came out so fast that I could not finish my beer!
I love the way you place your orders too. The waiter brings you the menu and a pen, and you just tick the boxes next to the items you want. I loved the burger! One of the better burgers around I feel and the spicy coleslaw which my wife had, was just as delicious. We also had teriyaki wings which was also tasty.
They have a good selection of beers available but sadly it seems they only serve Jack Daniels in the spirits department. Which is fine if you look at the bigger picture as to what Rocomamas is trying to achieve.
I really only have one gripe with this particular Rocomamas. It has a open kitchen, which is cool, but it seems that the waiters do not have anywhere to go when they are not busy serving customers. There is a lot of waiters and when they are not busy, they just stand around wherever there is a space available. Be that next to tables or wherever. Don't get me wrong, all the staff were friendly and it's not their fault they don't have a staff room available.
All in all, a great experience and I can recommend it to anybody!
I am yet to taste a burger this good... I love that you're able to create you own and the service is as good as their food! As far as first impressions go, they hit a home run!!
I have been to Rocomamas in Melrose and Fourways, and am a huge fan. Bedford branch did not disappoint! A bit on the cramped side but the food was amazing as always!!! The Big Daddy Slaw is amazing!!!! Keep up the awesome work!!!!! 🍔🍔
Delicious food every time! And the prices are definitely right. I love the vibe and am yet to be disappointed. Even the service is wow! You know that no matter how busy they are they will find you a table and you will be fed and ready for more with in the hour. Highly recommended and one of my favorite spots for sure.

This Rocomamas is obviously doing something right as we arrived just before six o'clock on a Thursday evening and it was already full. Rocomamas has a fun vibe and relatively loud music so you should probably give it a skip if you want to go out for a quiet dinner. The burgers are delicious and such a reasonable price. The ribs are a little more expensive but are delicious and saucy (Old Skool BBQ is definitely the way to go). The small chips are a lie, there is nothing small about them: one small chips is easily enough for two. The Old Skool BBQ chicken wings were so tender and fell off the bone straight into the tangy blue cheese dipping sauce (this is great to share). I finished my meal with a sticky and messy face and hands and the knowledge that we will definitely be back again.

I really enjoyed the smash burgers and vibe at rocomammas. We went there for my wife's birthday and when I called to make a reservation they refused which was a down side as we had to wait for a table but they made a plan after 15 min and seated us. Craft beer; choose your burger toppings; the flapjacks with Nutella are a nice way to end the night off. Food comes quick & service is fast
Awesome food. Awesome ribs. Awesome wings. Awesome burgers. Awesome service. Will leave your hands and face dirty. Was fully packed and services was awesome. Way too much awesome in this review. Only complaint is they don't give you any wet wipes only normal serviette's. Will come again and see if it's still awesome in the future. 😁
This was absolutely the best wings and ribs I have ever had. My Sticky fingers needed a wet wipe but they only have serviettes. They do however have a basen to wash your hands at. Love the vibe and different take on a restaurant.
The food is absolutely yummy and really good value for money! The voodoo wings are an absolute must! The service is quick. The queues are long so be sure to book!

The service was good and staff were really friendly. All orders were processed timeously. Never had to wait for 1 drink even when fully packed. Drinks were good except for the glasses being warm. Food was amazing!! The burgers are really a hit and will defenitely be going back with a bigger table!!!! Well done guys!

What an incredible place and what great food. The burgers are superb, build as you desire. Hey surprise surprise, real meat, no grizzle or fat. The fries are great. The peanut milkshake, OMG, in a league of its own. The staff friendly and efficient.

These "build-a-burger" joints just aren't for me. Firstly I never know what to put on the burger with so much to choose from, so I always end up going with the "what's your specialty?" option. And inevitably end up wondering if I should have rather gone with the standard burger and added some boring standard toppings.
Having said that, the vibe is much better that the other build-your-burger joints and reminds me of the old Primi days with waiters and mangers always making sure you sorted.
The food & drinks came out very quick and the peanut butter milkshake was yum.
I'm still on the hunt for THAT burger on the East Rand, but suspect I may have to broaden my search radius ?
All in all, I'll probably be back, but this time just build my own burger ?
Delicious, service is fast and efficient, albeit the menu is a little confusing but if you're not in a massive rush then take your time to choose wisely

My girlfriend and I decided to come to Rocco mammas on the spur of the moment. I had never been before and heard nothing but great things about this place, so I pretty excited to see what the fuss was about.
As we arrived we were greeted by one of the hosts/managers. He quickly spotted a table for us and asked one of the waiters to wipe the table clean as we got seated. This was done by our friendly waiter very quickly.
It's great to know that there is a selection of burgers to choose from or you can make your own which is a handy option to have as well. There is also other foods like wings, ribs, nachos and toasted sandwiches available which is a good options as well.
For drinks I ordered a creme brûlée g shake which my girlfriend ordered a coca cola. This was bought to us quickly. As this was my first time I had to ask our waiter what the promo were (they were clearly visible on the board by the counter at the door). Nevertheless our waiter explained in detail to me what the specials were for each promotion, which I appreciated. I went for the promo 1 which was a double cheese double smash burger with extra bacon. I ordered a large shoe string fries as well with my burger. My girlfriend ordered a portion of 4 buffalo wings and 4 old skool wings with ranch dip. She also decided to make her own burger. Her burger consisted of chicken patty, emmenthal cheese, caramelised red onions, basil and rocomayo sauce.
Our order came quick and we got tucked into the wings. Both wing flavors tasted good and were quickly munched down to the bone. We thought the waiter wanted us to finish the wings before bringing the burger and upon enquiry realized the burger was let ordered or taken not of by the waiter. He was very apologetic and asked to reorder the burger and promised it wouldn't take long for it to be made. In the meantime I started eating my burger. The taste was great and the ingredients worked well together. The patty seems to be made there and I think they could have added more seasoning when making the patty. But like I said when put together the burger tastes great and i really did enjoy it a lot. The fries were well seasoned and done to perfection. My girlfriends burger came quickly as promised. Her burger looked great as well. The chicken burger patty also seemed to homemade and like my burger the flavors and ingredients worked well together.
We were too full to try the dessert on offer but from what we saw on the table next to us, it looked Devine. Will have to come try it next time

All in all a great burger experience with friendly and more importantly, attentive staff. Pity my girlfriends burger was overlooked the first time of ordering, but the service and experience we got , I thought totally made up for that mistake.
Really enjoyed roccomamas. It was just really busy and found the music too loud- it was so difficult to hear each other talk. But otherwise I really enjoyed the burgers :)
I would say RocoMamas is SA's closest thing to Hard Rock Cafe. Vibe is young and fun, and it really buzzes on a Friday night. Burgers are great and the fries very more-ish. However I fell for the Nutella and Milk Flapjacks.
Visited the new kid on the block... Definitely lived up to its reputation of serving a great burger. Juicy and tasty patty with a variety of toppings to choose from. The Brinjali topping is delish, a must try! The chips are good too but they are very generous with their portions, the medium was huge. Pity there was only two choices on the wine list, that being red or white (literally), but the variety of craft beers made up for it. Service was mediocre but will certainly frequent the place when the 'good burger' craving hits.

Finally made it to Rocomamas east rand. Been waiting a long time for this.
I was however surprised at the new additions to the menu like the fancy shakes and the new desserts as well as the few options of toasted sarmis or even nachos.
Also glad there is more seating space than the original one in ferndale.
So for the burgers i decided on the promo 2 which is currently the chicken smash with bacon, chilly mayo, red onion, aged cheddar and spicy slaw and some chips. Milkshakes i decided its my last day to eat unhealthy so had the creme brulee one. My sis took the blueberry. My bro took the double smash beef burger and chips.
I must say i was disappointed yet again with the chicken patty. It felt like i was eating a fish cake. Its too "smashed" you cant taste any texture. Yet i loved the rest of my burger.. i think if this option came in beef i would be in heaven as the bacon was cooked right and the crunch of the slaw was yummy and it was lekka spicy :-) the chips were good as always just forgot to order some ranch sauce (even though i know its for the wings)
Bro enjoyed his double burger and sis also enjoyed hers. Her milkshake however didnt have much flavour. Mine was good and you really cant drink too much of it i had to down it with 2 glasses of water.
The waiters are very friendly but i didnt find the management too friendly. I suppose i am use to the vibe at the ferndale one.
But i will be back someday. And thank you for finally gracing the east rand...
*Updated review*. Went to this branch again over the weekend 24th may with some friends. Again i find the service just not up to scratch. A supposed 15 min waiting list turned out to be an hour... a multiple change of waiters so alot of confusion for our orders. When our burgers and chips and wings arrived we had to ask for cutlery.. when we asked for serviettes we were given 2... and we were 5 people... i still find the waiters more friendly than the front "management". Luckily the food saved the day as we were hungry but i think something needs to be done to cope with the amount of patrons that are there.
Went for lunch at rocomamas for the first time today! I was rather excited to try this restaurant out but I was a bit disappointed. I had a chicken burger which was rather dry and not what I imagined. My parents on the other hand had beef burgers which they said were really tasty. So maybe avoid having a chicken burger. The decor and vibe is great though!
The burgers are okay, but really well priced. The buns used aren't the best. The menu could be improved on, as not everyone wants tomatoes on their burger. I wasn't blown away, but if in the area would eat here again.
Brilliant burgers, venue is interesting and convenient, milkshakes are unbelievably enticing and so tasty. I highly recommend this to any meat lover and burger enthusiast.

Great service, speedy and efficient staff, friendly managers and the owners checking on all tables to ensure that all is running smoothly, friendly and ambient not to mention the food. The burgers are simply outstanding, best tasting ribs I have ever had and the buffalo wings are WOW..... Desserts are a must the chocolate mouse and upside-down cheesecake were the best I have ever tasted. A must visit if you have not been yet..... 10 out of 10 on everything.

Went for our first meal to Rocomamas Bedfordview and had really good burgers. A juicy patty, melted cheese and crispy bacon was my combination and it was great. If you're a burger fan I would highly recommend you go for a visit. It has a vibey and loud atmosphere so It's not the place for a romantic supper.
Food was very tasty. The service was good. The menu and ordering fun. We went for a Sunday lunch. They were very busy, had to wait a while for a table. But it was worth the wait.

After mixed reviews, we decided to try Rocomamas in Bedfordview last night. It was awesome! Really friendly and attentive waiters and very proactive and hands-on manager. I really enjoyed my burger and the overall concept behind the franchise. As a fussy eater, i was able to choose exactly what i wanted in my burger and exactly what i wanted to exclude! Portion size is very generous and in terms of affordability- it was definitely value for money! Strong contender for the best burgers in town!

It was my first time going there was on my lunch break which is an hour the staff is okay won't say best and they also take long to prepare the food waited almost an hour and few mins before I could get my food. Other than that food was perfect would prefer another branch though.
