Such friendly and humble staff and great food!
Mamun Sheikh
I ate most delicious Indian foods in South Africa in that restaurant. I like the quality of the food, friendly staff, availability of Foods & drinks

My favourite curry restaurant, have been eating here for over 10 years. Food has always been consistent and Devine

Food always excellent. They will go out of their way to accommodate you and make you feel comfortable. Management and staff very polite, sometimes a language barrier but no complaints at all. Highly recommended. If you have never been there it will be worth your while paying them a visit. Excellent food and restaurant is very clean. No complaints at all. Always a wonderful experience. Keep up the good food. See you soon.

Always receive friendly service at this restaurant whether for a sit down meal or a takeout. Their tandoori chicken is tender and the Naan breads are divine. They also have a wide range of vegetarian dishes.

I've been there multiple times and all the dishes I've had (mostly chicken and lamb) had been really great in terms of taste. And they make a really nice Butter Naan as well as the Garlic Naan. The service is just average, could work on their customer interaction skills.

A welcome fit for a King, by owners and staff. The meals were promptly served , tantalizing our palates, as we tasted authentic Indian cuisine. Our waiter was ever present, ensuring we were enjoying our meal. All in all, this was a good experience.

I'm from Durban land of the best bunny chows. And I can tell the lamb bunny I had from Banjaara was nothing less than on par with some of the best bunny's I've had in Durban.

Right place for tasty food and good service

Return client x 3 times at Banjaara Restaurant Bedfrod Center. Fine Indian food all round, no fuss, no bad meal just good Indian food in our local area.
Nicole Du Plessis
Incredible food! Authentic and delicious! Food is consistently good every time we come here and the service is swift and friendly. Chicken Korma, butter chicken and rolmali roti are not to be missed!
Jessica Ropertz
I have never been disappointed with Banjaara! Their curries & naan are always so delicious. I do think they are pricey so the Tuesday night special is a real treat & very appreciated! :)

Just had a biryani here and Man- what a biryani it was.....it was just a soggy pulao with some chicken pieces interspersed in between.....just putting an indian name doesn't mean you will get authentic indian food ....it was not good in taste especially if you had tasted muglai food in old delhi and hyderabad....

Great atmosphere , fine dining restaurant . Quite a large variety of vegetarian foods , excellent paneer dishes and always consistently made, great place to take out clients

The Banjaara pricing has become ludicrous and I will never buy from them again. The pricing on Zomato is at least 15-20% off their current price and whilst their food is good they are a rip off

Paid R95 for a mild lamb bunny. Taste not great, no spice, potatoes watery, bread was completely soggy at the bottom and I threw 2/3 of it away. Such a pity as the Breyani is always good.
Marco Dias
Good butter chicken and garlic naan, their curries are good and tasty. Comfort food. New venue in bedford centre has got a nice deck with pleasant views

Sunday buffet not as expected. Naan bread dried out and samosas were too doughy and only filled with potato and veg- no meat. The chicken korma was good but the lamb curry was burnt underneath. A disappointing experience.

Worse curry ever had, ordered a bunny chow for lunch ,the potatoes were off but they denied it ,the meat were so dry and hard.. no taste at all... Looks like they boiled the chicken and pour the sauce on top (finished and done) ... One thing I don't understand is I ordered two tea but it came in one tea pot with two tea bags, I asked them why they said if I ordered 3 tea's it will also come in one tea pot but a bigger one.... Lmfao ....

This is our favourite Indian restaurant...the food is delicious from start to finish. A no thrills authentic restaurant...never disappoints with speedy service. The menu has a vast selection of starters, lamb, chicken and seafood curries, breyani, bunnies, etc and the rice pudding or coconut ice cream is tops. A must visit if you are in the area.

How I love Indian cuisine. Banjaara is the place to be if you share the love for Indian food. They're menu consists of a big variety of options. The butter chicken is to die for and the lamb curry just does it for me. Their rice pudding blows my mind.

Delicious food from start to finish. The coconut ice cream is a definite highlight. Always a wonderful experience thanks to the warm atmosphere.

Banjaara Bedford is never a disappointment, the food and service is always great. It remains one of my favourites for North Indian cuisine..

Five out of six of our table were really impressed by their curries. I had the mild butter chicken which had the perfect bite and delicious flavour, as well as generous amounts of chicken. The naan was also buttery and soft. The menu has lots of options, with a few good options for our vegan friend too.

The wine list was pretty small, so you won't have a lot of options there. The service is efficient and earnest. The decor is pretty and expected and the ambience is very calm.

So basically a great place for a really good meal, provided you aren't looking for a festive night out.

Best Lamb Bunny in the Eastrand, although their curries are influenced mostly by the North-Indian style their lamb bunny curry tastes very similarly to the South African Durban Indian style which is influenced by South-Indians

Recently had their lamb breyani, it was great! I will definitely go back for their Breyani and try out their other curry dishes. Their vegetable samoosas were on the downside, not so great, too much potatoes and grease.

Went for dinner , played "Find the prawn" in my Breyani which cost R150 , was also tasteless and ended feeling wonderfully ill on the way back home . Can't say I will ever be back .

Good service—our dinner came to our table more quickly than we expected. I really enjoyed the chicken badame. The other dishes we ordered were nice as well. We asked for medium but I would consider the dishes more on the mild side. Still, everything was nice and flavourful. Good Indian dishes.

I'm not a fan of curries so Indian isn't really something I regularly have on my plate however I can vouch for the tandoori chicken and the roti, both are tasty abducted service good. The have a Sunday buffet at a decent price as well.
Authentic Indian cuisine... As you walk in the restaurant you are greeted by Buddha statues and a strong smell of cumin and coriander from the Delicious curries being cooked. The menu has a wide variety to offer everyone from lamb briyani to Creamy chicken Korma. Not in the mood for sauces then there are Chicken tandoori half or full portion served with naan bread or chicken kebabs has an unusual delicious smokey taste .. Yum yum yum!! They have added there own spice to their popadoms which are have a delectable taste with the hot sauces they put on the table. I enjoyed eating here!!!

Lasts weeks Diwali celebrations took us for an amazing taste experience at Banjaara Bedfordview!

Right next to the cinemas at Bedford Centre is a beautiful, detailed and invitingly decorated restaurant.

I LOVE Indian food! One of my favourite but I always feel like some dishes are not quite right! No issues with that here! The food is absolutely divine, so well presented in tradition dishes and tastes better than the Instagram pic with filters!

We had the chicken korma (my absolute favorite) and the Lamb Gosht Badame with garlic naan bread!

The sauces were made just perfect: chillier wasn't over powering, the chutney had exact sweetness needed and the pickled mango divine!

If you LOVE Indian cuisine like me definitely try it out! I had such a "happy place" moment there!

#TastyTuesday #LoveFood #Banjaara #IndianCuisine

The food isn't bad but I feel its not consistent. I've had the Chicken Breyani done two different ways and management insisted its always done the same way. Disappointing, needless to say never went back.
Rose Marie Pereira
Good food the tandoori chicken is good, and is quite a popular place to go as the restaurant is always full. Right next to the movie in Bedford center so also convenient when you want dinner and a movie

Went to Banjaara for a dinner with my bestie, Diane. The service was excellent... the manager was really attentive!
The food was really tasty and the portions were generous. Di and I shared a Chicken Korma, Lamb Vindaloo and some Butter Naan . I particularly enjoyed the Chicken Korma! Diane Wiese

Since they updated their decor the beautiful Indian restaurant made an all-rounder status. I had the lamb vindaloo- full of flavour and the additional pashwari naan was made to perfection. Reasonably priced and friendly service

The food at this long standing restuarant is good however I do find that is it in a very odd location. However, a few years ago since the renovation it feels more welcoming. Overall the food is enoyable and there is a good variety for vegetarians and non vegetarians alike.

The meal are priced at the normal rate for such a restaurant and location. Do try a lassi here with a vegetarian curry as it is very tasty and of a good generous size.

I haven't been here for a little while and will be visiting it again in the near future to review the service and starters.

I ate here recently, and it was okay... just okay. We had a platter of eats for starters. The chicken tikka pieces were tender and tasty, as were the mince kabab things. There were all kinds of other samoosas etc but I didn't get to try those. For mains, I ordered the prawn tikka masala (medium). It wasn't spicy at all. and somewhat bland. Like I said, it was okay... The naan bread was on the other hand was really good. The portions are huge and two people can easily share a meal. Those that ordered the biryani were left with three-quarters of their meals to take home! The restaurant was pretty much empty, but with much hustle 'n bustle from those passing by to watch movies. I'm a bit 50/50 as to whether I'll be back...

Service slow, waiter very rude would not suggest this restaurant venue also feels very dodgy food very average, not very impressed at all and will not go back.
Brendan Roche-Kelly
Atmosphere: A bit weird, being sort of in the shopping mall area, even though this looks like it's supposed to have specialised decor, but otherwise OK.

Seating: comfortable chairs, tables spaced out adequately

Service: polite, professional, understanding, quick

Food: superb
Nadz
Food was semi- acceptable. Location is not understood though.... Stuck next to a cinema- with virtually zilch for atmosphere!

I'm not very experimental when it comes to different cuisines but Banjaara is a must. The vegetarian options are tasty and filling. One meal is enough for 2 adults and the service is reliable. I would go here 10 times before trying another restaurant.
The buttered naan bread is a must with all the curries.
Nic Primich
Great food every time we go there, and we go there often because of that very reason.

Banjaara is the 1st Indian Cuisine Restaurant that I have been to and they have really left me surprised, especially when I didn't quite know what to expect.

Their seating is spacious and family friendly and their menu filled with curries and other Indian delicacies. Their service was a bit slow but I can guarantee that the food more than made up for that.

For starters, I had garlic and butter naan bread - oh wow, how delicious that was... I 've never looked back since. For mains, I had the mild Chicken Korma Curry. The curry was simply delicious and the portion was very filling, I even had an abundance of food left over.

All in all it, was a very pleasant experience and I'll definitely be more that happy to have a meal there again... and maybe even try a hotter curry next time

My favourite Indian restaurant in Jhb. What I love about this restaurant is that it feels like a traditional Indian restaurant - it is not fancy looking and it's look may detract it's potential customers but the flavours are amazing and their garlic naan is phenomenal! Don't waste your time or money on the expensive fine dining type Indian restaurants like Ghazal! Go to Banjaara - amazing price and a fantastic dish! Love it!
