Tashas has always been good to us. The welcome they give us every time we there is amazing. The "Black African" tall manager and "White African" manager as well are just great.

I had an amazing Birthday Breakfast at Tashas yesterday! I loved the setting outside and being surrounded by orchids! The food was delicious and every one enjoyed it! The service was excellent! I will definitely return for another celebration! Thank you!!

I’ve watched this spot grow and now flourish! I miss the older staff. The new staff seem to trade off what the old staff have worked so hard to create. Our food was amazing, pity our waiter left us for an hour and when we asked for him he was apparently out downstairs doing take aways.. odd... don’t drop the ball Tasha’s!

Food is fantastic, super fresh and many healthy options. Cous cous and parmesan crusted chicken with goats cheese is a fave, as well as salmon fish cakes, just beautiful! Good attention to detail in all dishes and highest quality ingredients.
Service is always good, decor is also nice, very comfortable lunch experience. Coffee is also fantastic.
Love a little Tashas lunch. One of the only restaurants to offer decent healthy meals that aren’t caked with sauce and calories. The staff are awesome and the atmosphere is great.

I love the feel of this Tashas,it's less hectic than the other branches and is ideal if you want place where you can enjoy your meal without thinking of the time. My favourite is the fruit cocktail frulatto,the best.

A delightful start to the weekend can begin here, a refreshing breakfast, freshly squeezed fruit juice, under the umbrella on the sidewalk (as inside is just a little too noisy with the coffee machine going on, not worth the comfee couch). Seriously though, great vibe.
Always amazing breakfast. The scrambled eggs with salmon is delicious. The Affogato is the best I've had. No one can beat this. Dollop of ice cream with espresso and loaded with various nuts. Nutella croissant is also worth a mention.
I have never had a bad experience at Tasha's and this was no exception. The food is tasty, pretty and adequately portioned, and the service is fantastic! My only qualm is the waiting to get seated but I guess that's expected when it comes to great eateries. The pistachio cake was delicious and highly recommended.

Tasha's is a chic restaurant, each having a unique design but still resembling the Tasha's brand. The service is top notch... with the staff being incredibly friendly and giving service with a warm and personal touch. Tasha's bedfordview has a great vibe and the food is always consistent. I have been going here for years and still love it! Today I had a Quinoa Breakfast Tart, which is full of flavor and beautifully presented too. Breakfast, lunch, coffee, cake and cocktails - Tasha's has it all.

As a parent of a toddler, my restaurant decisions are limited (especially since we are creatures of habit and leaving the facility of Edenvale/Bedfordview is foreign). Now we decide on restaurants based on their kid facilities... So when we do get the chance to adult it alone, Tashas never disappoints. Good service, delicious food (generous portions), always buzzing. And for parents of small kids, while there arent play areas, there is a great changing area in the centre (and a spot for breastfeeding moms), which is far and few...

I have ever tasted. AND HUGE! Worth every cent. Eugene my partner had the American with a side of fries - a pulled pork quesadilla, he says it's definitely the best one he has tried in Johannesburg. He thoroughly enjoyed each bite!

Took my mom here for her birthday. Absolutely amazing food! I had their Harissa Lamb Sandwich - there really are no words to describe how delicious it is. Booming busy normally - but you don't wait long for your food. Very friendly staff! Love it!
I decided to take myself out on a date and Tasha's (any) is my go to. Was my first time @ this particular one and I'm glad I did . The setting , interior 😂😍 and staff was superb so was the food I ordered. Waiter was attentive and friendly . Definitely going back
The Pain Perdu here is amazing! Thick slices of brioche French toast, fresh créme anglaise, crispy bacon...mmm! Substituted berries for a fried banana, amazing! Coffee...not sure the bariata knew the difference between a flat white and a cappuccino. Great service and ambiance. Always bustles!

Had a brunch with a friend, we thought we'd take a drive to Bedford view, seeing we'd exhausted our Tasha's options😜. It was exactly what we've come to expect from Tasha's and it's impressive that their standard remains the same. I'm always interested in the signature menu and how they differ from restaurant to restaurant. Tasha's still my favorite, chilled hang out.
We popped in for lunch while running an errand. It's an upmarket centre but there's not much of a view to speak of, I'm afraid. The restaurant is exactly what you're accustomed to from tashas. Good service, ambience, and food. My quesadilla was really tasty as was my fresh pressed apple, carrot and pear juice.
A few weeks ago I saw Tashas after I had eaten a meal at Turn and Tender and I was interested to try it out, so I did and it was really good. I loved their coffee freezos, the food was good and so was the service. Overall a great experience.
This establishment has obviously discovered how to keep its patrons happy. Everything always looks and tastes so good. I had the tashas caesar salad with chicken. Honestly the best around. Staff always attentive and obviously well trained. A pleasure to pay a bit more but get all this.

I have been to this Tashas a few times now, and I have to say that it has been lovely everytime. I find the waiters and waitresses to be very friendly and the atmosphere is just lovely. Its extremely convenient due to its central location. The food is divine, as usual for Tashas. A staple for me everytime is a granita, and just last week I tried the elderflower and pear granita - it now is my favourite.

This Tasha's makes the most tasty food of all the franchises I have visited. Although usually very busy, obtaining a table is possible after a short wait of a few minutes.
I visited here on Thursday afternoon for a quick lunch with a colleague. I had the beef burgers and a cappuccino. My food was prepared fantastically and I enjoyed every bit. The coffee was equally as marvelous.
The restaurant can be quite noisy inside and a table outside can sometimes be a better option, depending on the weather of course. Our service was prompt and friendly. Very impressed.
Took my girls for cake and hot drinks today. The waitress was friendly and the cake selection was lovely and different, we had the pistachio cake which is huge so we shared. The tashas nutella hot choc was,according to my little guest amazing and all in all a wonderful experience. Thank you

Generally I'm an Avid lover of the Tasha's franchise! I try each one every place I go-and love to also try their signature menu at the different branches. However as opposed to all the other branches I must say I was a little disappointed with this one-not because it was Bad-but rather because if I compare to the other branches the service was not up to scratch.
Also I wasnt so impressed with the signature menu.
Our waiter took quite long just to come and take our first drinks orders as well as when we wanted another drink or to get the bill! Each time we had to call another waiter or the manager to assist as our waiter constantly disappeared! Or didn't even come past us for prolonged periods of time!
The food was great however-as always very consistent to the other branches, and delicious! I went for the Aubergine and beef crumble which is always a winner-great portion size and tasty! We also had a fresh pineapple juice, a wholewheat chicken wrap and protein smoothie! Food is great value for money!

All I can say is WONDERFUL! Our waiter this time was absolutely amazing. He was friendly, attentive, on the ball and went the extra mile- so far as to bring us a sugar-free red bull (which they do not stock) from the store next door.
The food was Amazing as always, I had the Beef Ravioli and my friend the Grilled chicken Brown Rice Salad. I also tried something new to drink-the Cherry Lemongrass Granita which since Saturday is all I have been dreaming of,it was that good, Id highly recommend giving it a try!

Just popped in for a quick early morning meeting. Delicious cappuccino was exactly what I needed to wake myself up!! By 08h00 the place was packed and the food aroma's wafting from the kitchen were almost irresistible. Tashas is always a winner and I look forward to coming back to this branch again when I am back out this side.
Great service and like always, fantastic food! At first you think: "hmm that's a bit pricey, but sounds amazing". No such thing as pricey here, because you can't put a price on the quality of the food (plus the quantity you receive). Awesome place and we love visiting as we know that whatever we try next on the menu will be great!
I have heard so many great things about Tashas and finally got around to eating here. The breakfast options are interesting and varied which makes a nice change from the usual bacon and egg offerings. My friend had poached eggs on polenta which she really enjoyed and I had a Spanish omelette which was very tasty but I think quite expensive for a vegetarian dish. Be warned though if you decide to have avo as an extra. Half an avo cost R22! The coffee was really good and I couldn't fault the service.
One of the best branches of Tasha's! The service is superb, vibe is amazing, and the food NEVER disappoints! The one unique aspect of this particular branch is that, unlike other Tasha's branches, this one opens at 07:00 and closes at 18:00 so you can't go here for dinner, but can go for a delicious breakfast! I keep going back here time and time again and is WELL worth a try!
Our favourite breakfast spot. Although it is always busy, the wait is worth it. Plus you can often find a spot by their couches where they can serve you drinks whilst you wait for an open table. Service is always fantastic. I love their menu. No other restaurant offers such a wide. varied and unique selection of breakfast items. Portions are incredibly generous, food is always fresh, and new menu items pop in from time to time. We always promise to come back for lunch or dinner as this menu is also extensive and unique. I have tried some of their salads - also fantastic. Their desserts look incredible. Just note that it is always busy and noisy - so if this is not your vibe, perhaps try somewhere quieter
A busy little spot in Village view and after being there, I know why - the perfect spot. I had met my friend for breakfast/brunch! We were welcomed to be seated and were given a number, as there was a waiting time to be seated. We waited 10minutes. The staff were friendly and our waitress kept tabs on us and checked in regularly! We ordered our coffees and then both decided to have the Hummus Toastie! Totally recommend this! Infusion of flavour and beautiful presented. Would recommend this spot for the perfect catch up with friends or family.
One of the best places to have lunch or breakfast at in Johannesburg! I have been here multiple times and the food has been great each and every time. The service is also on point. The drinks menu is quite impressive, some coffees being accompanied by lindt chocolate and cocktails looking great.
Had a business lunch there, sadly they don't take reservations so for a group of 8 we had to wait 15 mins. The did keep us in the loop by updating us continuously.
I cannot fault the service even while extremely busy. The food was great, I had the tashas panini with bacon as an extra, and it was honestly a life changing sandwich, filling center and fresh ciabatta, moist center and crispy outer. I think its the Danish feta and mushrooms that make the sandwich but I won't try, I would rather go back. I will dream of that days sandwich.

This Tasha's is my favorite of all! The service is fantastic and the coffee never disappoints! I had the Chicken and Parmesan Slaw (from the specials menu) and it was so tasty! The chicken was so succulent and the coleslaw refreshing (with a vinegarette instead of mayo) YUM! And the cakes are so delicious as well, always fresh! This is on my 'always a winner' list!

Ordered a hummus toastie with bacon on the side, and a coffee. Although it was a busy morning, the service was still on point.
The tomatoes were AMAZING. Such a random thing to have enjoyed that much, but I really did. The village bread is heavy so I was stuffed, and didn't end up eating the poached egg. But I shared the lemon meringue with friends, because you're never too full for sweets. It was a ok, wasn't as tangy as I'd like, but still yummy.
Definitely going back when in that side of town.
We had a delicious lunch with the girls. The haloumi salad is amazing! The pomegranates suit the salty cheese. The pea and quinoa fritters were delicious and so was the chicken wrap. If you want fresh, healthy, amazing food, Tashas never disappoints. Great service too! The only downfall was that we waited far too long for our food. And please bring back the chicken liver salad?! :)
Tashas never disappoints. Had the salmon and zucchini pasta, made with zucchini spaghetti! It was very tasty. Also had the tashas hot chocolate! Always have a good time at Tashas, good service and a great vibe.

The perfect spot for a brunch on a warm Sunday afternoon. The great thing about Tasha's is that the service is consistent. You will always be welcomed with a smile and the people who work there look like they love working there - which ultimately makes the whole experience very pleasant. I loved this Tasha's but I wasnt too happy about my meal. Ordered a mexican quesadilla and it lacked a bit of zing - it was a bit bland and I dont think I would have finished it if it were not the garlic and the chilli that I kept layering on it. I loved the fact that there is free parking at the centre but they dont have wi-fi which was a bit of a schlep. And note that they close at 4pm on Sundays so you do feel a bit rushed 15min before closing time. Ultimately, it wasnt all doom and gloom - and I would definately go back again... Just order something different next time.
What can I say I just love Tasha's. I have never had a bad experience at Tasha's. Their food is consistently good every time you go there and that's how restaurant food should be. I have tried most of their dishes and they have all been superb. They even have meals for the weight conscious (as well as the health conscious) and for the food lovers don't forget to try out their delicious selection of cakes. Tasha's will never disappoint. On the weekend, lunch time be prepared to wait at least 10 to 20min for a seat as its always busy. Well worth the wait

I am not a fan of the hustle and bustle that one experiences at this Tashas... But I put up with it because the breakfasts, freezos and cocktails are the best !!
Their health breakfast is second to none, offering the BEST variety of fruit in their fruit salad- figs, kiwis, strawberries , raspberries .... The list goes on and on! HEAVEN!

Great service! The always aim to please. I like that the manager is also a chef.. So he knows what's happening in his kitchen. They specialize in egg white omelette and are always happy to accommodate. There menu in fresh and innovative. They also offer a low fat and healthy options but don't skimp on the taste. The service is good and atmosphere is relaxed and vibrant.

If you're looking for a lovely ladies brunch with a touch of sophistication then this is the place for you! Incredible food at an equally pricey price. You won't be disappointed though! I haven't eaten here, but since Tasha's is known for their coffee, I had to check it out :). I ordered the coconut latte. Despite it being really decadent, it took forever to come (I reckon roughly 20 minutes) so just brace yourselves for that if you opt for it. Other than that, Tasha's has a lovely environment with great service
The best coffee shop in town!! Whether you feel like Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch, or Cake, Tasha's is the place to go to! I love their Dr. Paw Paw, Chicken Parmesan slaw, Hummus toastie, as well as everything else on the menu ;) I always leave Tasha's feeling satisfied and happy!
A regular spot for me on a Saturday morning after training. The coffee is good and the breakfasts are amazing. There always seems to be a decent queue of people waiting to get a table but the queue goes quickly as the service is phenomenal. Their mille-feuille is my favourite dessert.

Tasha's is the perfect brunching place, the breakfast menu is different it offers so much more than the usual omelette or fried egg! The portions are generous and the service attentive. They offer soy alternatives for the lactose intolerant and a great selection of cakes and pastries for those with a sweet tooth!
You assume Tashas are all the same and I must say serve good food , well there is finally a restaurant in bedforview that is the best. The service and food here surpasses all the other Tashas. The salmon tartare Devine , fillet Prego juicy and cooked to perfection , the salads are all tasty and sandwiches are great . You have got try their selection of teas the best being the vanilla bourbon . A minor challenge they are always full so take a number go shopping at wollies and your table is ready when you return @.

I can never say no to a Tasha's session! The staff here are absolutely lovely. We had a bit of an issue with the bees this Sunday that we landed up moving tables 3 times yet the staff never hesitated to meet our needs or check up on our state. We got coffee on the house because of the unpleasant moving even though they weren't to blame. It just shows they have customer satisfaction as a number 1 priority ?

I must say I really love this Tashas (I actually love all the Tashas)! I love sitting outside on a Saturday late morning, ordering a glass of wine and just enjoying the vibe. The service is always spot on. I have never had to speak to a manager regarding anything, and all concerns, be them small or large have been handled amazingly by the waiter staff. The food is incredible! I love the large choice that Tashas has to offer, and of course the signature menu is always worth an order!
My favourite is the chicken liver salad. I could eat it all the time! The salmon fish cakes are also one of my faves! And then their Pimms cocktail most definitely deserves a mention. It is one of the most divine cocktails I have tasted in a while (I'm not the biggest lover of cocktails as they always so sweet!), and if my wallet would allow me to drink 5 I would!
The only thing about Tashas is, is it is getting a little pricey. I'm not saying it's not worth it, but I have noticed that the prices have gone up quite a bit in the last 6 months. And some of the items on the menu, I look at and think that it is a tad bit over priced. It is just a bit disheartening as I can't afford to eat at Tashas as much as I would like to :(
One thing I must mention is that you can't ever make a booking so you need to just keep that in mind, as there normally is a 15 to 20 min wait.
Awesome place to just chill and enjoy a breakfast or a lunch. Great service and exquisite food. A wide variety of food choices. Easily located, recommended it to anyone.

The original Tashas has (like the franchise) started to lose its touch. It used to be the best place for lunch, and now charges you the premium price for it! It's not worth going there, not unless you are getting the meal for free and don't have to wait to get seated. Rather go to Dear Chef
Each Tashas has its own vibe. This one is chilled like the Turkish Delight I had accompanied by the Creamy Pesto meal. Apart from the pricing, this franchise has high standards and no matter which area, the standards are met!

We went for breakfast this past Sunday, and as for most or almost every Sunday, it's bound to be packed. We waited about 10min for our table and while we were waiting we got a menu to decide what we wanted.
As soon as we got seated we ordered our drinks which was an earl grey tea and a vanilla bourbon. Was disappointed they tN out of the vanilla bourbon and had to change my drink to emperor sencha tea.
For breakfast we ordered a Goucho Pan which consisted of scrambled egg with chorizo and spring onion served with tomato and coriander salad. My partner really enjoyed it and and said it was cooked well.. I had the steak steak which consisted of a sirloin steak cooked medium rare, fried onions, mushroom and a fried egg with rocket, on the side and also served with toast. The steak was cooked as ordered and the onions and mushroom and egg were done well and complimented each other and the dish as a whole. We also order half potion of summer salad which was quite refreshing, but we couldnt finish this and took it for take away.
The service is good and the waiters are on hand to help with anything we required. All the waiters we called were friendly and polite and definitely deserve a mention.

It's a great place for lunch. The food is always good - with the exception that my friend's salad had creepy crawlers in it. I would still go back.
Of all the Tashas i think this one is the best. The service is always great and the food is consistanty good. The signiture dishes here are great. My favourite is the salom flat bread which is always a hit and the greek coffee is better here than in Greece. The only downside is the que but i'd rather wait than risk it at Vovo Telo
Tasha's has a vibe atmosphere, attention e staff and they have the best red cappuccino! The menu is so big which means I take a while to make up my mind, how the manage with that menu is beyond me. Best meal is the broccoli orzo which is delicious. Not a cheap place the eat but fora treat it is quality meal.
Just went for a quick lunch at Tashas Bedfordview. As a huge fan of the Tashas franchise, I was excited to try the Bedfordview restaurant. Well I really loved this place. I wasn't disappointed at all; great service, great ambience and the food is as per Tashas standard, spectacular. I had the Millionaires Pasta and the Red Velvet Cheese Cake, both to die for. I'll definitely be going back.

If you want amazing tasting food, good vibe and friendly service than you need to try Tasha's Bedfordview. They use organic products which results in great tasting grub. I have to admit that I love this place.. try their house grilled chicken breast with slaw or their breakfast egg white salmon omlett with rocket avo and toast, you wont go wrong. Their cuppacinos are amazing but the chocachino you want bother yourself with. And try the the Prego Tramizini is scrumptious taste sensation. Oh and their fruit juice is so fresh it's made to order....try it
REVIEW UPDATE APRIL 2015: So we went for brunch to Tasha's Bedfordview. Such a great place but Im so dissapointed in th3 service. They have taken away the wauting area which helped make things comfortable as you would wait at least 10 minutes for a table. The food was still exquisite as uaual. They have upgraded theur menu with a few healtby options. Our waitor was a little short with us (as in was not really apprachable) and didn't make ua feal easy. I have decides to downgrade my original score of the full 5 out of 5 to 4 out of 5. Service is slipping and thats its because you are so busy rushing and atarting to make mistakes. Not a good thing. Suggest you concentrate on that again.
THE restaurant for weekend breakfasts or weekday lunches. Large menu with an abundance of choices, as well a signature dish menu. Health-oriented breakfasts, and delicious desserts and cakes. Very neat, clean, with outstanding service and mouthwatering dishes.
Great food, great coffee, the acoustics is a problem though. Will be back.

I really like the ambience, it is very open and light but you don´t feel like an eatery either. It is an elegant place and the service is impecable although they are always packed.
I agree with Willy Fog, the fresh natural apple juice is the best cure yuou can find for any hungover, go for it!
The menu is extensive and we didn´t try any plate no worth it to try! The quesadillas are awesome as the sandwiches are also exceptional ❤ They have a great variety os sweets if you please. Great coffe by the way ❤
Quality food and quality ambience for a reasonable price.
One of my favorite Sunday morning breakfast destinations. There's always a 30+ minute wait but well worth it. I typically end up with the quesadillas (with yogurt instead of sour cream), though the rest of our group loves their breakfast. I highly recommend the fresh squeezed apple juice, it will do wonders to any hangover! Lately Tasha's has been a bit pushy when it comes to flipping tables, though this doesn't deter us from taking our time and enjoying our day!
Having heard so much about Tasha's I was looking forward to a business lunch scheduled there. The venue itself is lovely and had a sophisticated cafe style and the space is very open and comfortable. I enjoyed a healthy tabouleh and halloumi salad, which included zesty lemon, red onion, tomato, micro greens and grilled marrows. The food was deliciously fresh and the portions generous. The service was impeccable. If I had to sum up Bedfordview's Tasha's in one menu item it would be 'freshly-squeezed pear juice'. This drink was so delicious that I had to order two.
We waited for 20 minutes to be seated, but the food was delicious and the ambience was lovely, so it was worth the wait. The service was good, but I asked for several items on the menu and was told that they could not serve me what I wanted because they did not have specific ingredients. Nonetheless, the food I chose was undeniably delicious.
I went there for breakfast with a friend on Friday. The place was packed (as usual).
Positives:
1. I got the "Rodeo Drive" Sandwich on Ciabatta and the chicken mayo was delicious. The chicken was tender and the mayo was flavourful. You can taste the freshness of all the ingredients.
2. Their French Toast was light and fluffy with a sweet crunch. The mascarpone and fruit jam paired really well with the toasts.
3. The Cucumber Granita was delicious and refreshing.
Negatives:
1. The French Toast was initially served to us burnt on one side. We mentioned it to our waitress and got a another plate made after about 20 minutes.
Overall this place offers great tasting food with good service. It's an elevated establishment who knows what they are doing.

Its absolutely beautiful inside. They have a ceiling that will make one feel like you are dining in an exclusive restaurant. The service was beautiful. The food was presented so beautifully and tasted just as beautiful. It has a seating area outside as well. Makes for great pictures.

I regularly visit Tashas on account of a client being conveniently nearby. On my last visit I arrived rather early, so they were still preparing the restaurant. I then sat outside, waiting for the interior space to be ready.
It turned out that I ended up waiting about an hour for the client to arrive, but it took almost all this time to get service, even after I moved inside.
Eventually, after asking for the manager, from yet another staff member that looked me right in the eyes but just walked by, I was noticed.
The manager was quick to apologise, my client arrived, and all was well after. Besides this initial issue, I really enjoyed the place, the food, and the company.
I don't consider the oversight to have been intentional, and I would still recommend them highly. I prefer them mainly because they're pet friendly. I consider this proof that the owners are good people, capable of accepting anyone - even pawed patrons!

Unique, lively, upscale vibe in an open air market flush with tables. We had a great avo toast, fresh eggs and toast. You could visit many times and continue exploring this menu that has lots of options.
We sat near the street and the warm breeze and social atmosphere kept us happy throughout our time. Have coffee, a snack or brunch style meal here. You won't regret it.

Good vibe, clean and inviting setup. Always busy and bustling. Upon presentation, pasta dish is visually appealing. Taste wise very good. Generous portions of chicken as well.

Tashas Bedfordview is a household name the area and for good reason. It boasts a well selected menu catering to all appetites and palettes. It has a calm and chilled environment with a trendy vibe allowing for friendly meet ups with friends, or a casual business meeting. One of the only downsides would probably be that they didn't have wifi available.😕 Otherwise it is a must to visit!
This place is excellent, especially for brunch. Not only does the menu have something for everyone, but the staff is friendly and the service fast.
