Review Mugg & Bean On The Move - Ballito

We had breakfast at the Junction recently. We had the most delightful waitress, she was attentive and polite. I wish I could remember her name. Thank you so much for the good service.

Good service, we only had snacks and drinks, everything was fresh and good quality. Had a much better experience here than I've had at some other local Mugg and Bean coffee shops.

They are lacking in aesthetics. However service is phenomenal. Store could use a revamp, blocking out the view of nedbank and the peasants using the atm's.

I couldn’t find the HarriSmith-Lotusville outlet,so I’ll review under this location .

My family and I stopped here for a break on our road trip back from Balito .

The scenery around this place is amazing ,the mountains are beyond breathtaking . We were quite a lot of us and I was pleasantly surprised when all orders were gotten right . My dad wanted to eat Fishaways instead and the management was so kind to allow him to eat there . They even gave him cutlery.

The service was really good and our waiter kept checking on us . I ordered the All American grill excluding the baked beans . This was really filling ,I didn’t even finish my toast .

I also liked how they have charging ports and you can charger your phone without an adapter .

A really good spot!

Lupa Osteria is in this spot now at Lifestyle. The Mugg and Bean has moved to Ballito Junction. Tried the Chicken Trio. It consisted of chicken meatballs, chicken crumbed strips and battered onion rings. The strips were crisp and scrumptious, while the onion rings was chunky/ doughy. The chilli type dipping sauce waz yumi. I prefer the La Lucia restaurant, as this spot here can get quite packed at times.

Delicious food. Went for breakfast and was difficult to choose everything looked delicious. Place is quite busy in mornings which is a good sign. Very slow service though...

My fiancé and I went to the Mug and Bean for breakfast. We were greeted with friendly staff and the manager came to check on us more than once to make sure we were comfortable. The food tasted of the same standard as any other Mug and Bean (good/tasty) and it arrived timeously. We will be happy to go back again.

Came here in mid-Nov for a drink. The shop was basically empty, but another patron was visibly irritated by the lack of service he had experienced as I entered. The server did not know what sauvignon blanc was. I was served a semi-sweet glass of lukewarm wine while staff made a helluva noise cleaning up next to me. Although the manager asked if I was okay once, he walked past my table and empty glass twenty minutes later without blinking an eye. This happened a few times. The staff seemed like they were in their own world, laughing and chatting while customers stared at them in annoyance. I had to get up in order to be noticed and to get the bill - still in a nearly empty shop.

It's Mugg and Bean. It's the franchise.... Something needs to change in the future... Something... I can't put my finger on it though. It's wasn't spotless but not dirty. Something though.....

Sadly, a below par experience.
Usually a reliable and worthy breakfast spot and again I suspect the sheer volumes of diners over the festive season played in a role in both service and food quality.

Small portions, slow to the table and we left felling a little hard done by.

We came for a coffee date out, the service was very slow and unwelcoming. Waited 45minutes for flapjacks and the staff weren't to friendly either. Wouldn't recommend it.

Service was terrible, food mediocre and we even had an unwelcome cockroach running around on our table! Won't be going there again! Yuck!!!!!!!!

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Food is good. The coffee isn't the greatest but I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to coffee. Maybe a bit more variety to the magazines freely available to read would be nice. :)

So after a rather interesting start to our planned meals this morning and we decided to depart from said restaurant (I promised to the manager that I will not name their restaurant and they promised to sort it out) we decided to leave the place and come to Mugg and Bean for brunch. As you all know I dont like franchise places but I have to give credit where credit is due.
Apologies for not grabbing the waitress' name but she certainly understands good service. Catered for our every whim.
P had the Alabhama chicken with a side of salad (this was a soft chicken breast on a slice of thick toasted bread with a topping of melted mozzarella cheese. Personally I thought the cheese was a bit of an overkill (and I loooove cheese) but it tasted so good. Suculent chicken breast cooked to perfection.
I had the Backyard BBQ Pretzel with a side salad (which was a soft pretzel with BBQ beef strips with creamy coleslaw and lots of other absolute goodness) absolutely delicious!! Being into spicy food I added a bit of habanero sauce for that little bit of extra punch.. and boy did it give me that punch. I hace decided to put a 6 pick of toilet paper in the freezer (just in case)... so if you are on the go and in need of a quick meal, this is your place.. they cater for everyone (except for pescaterians -no fish on menu) but their American Mexicana themed menu caters for the whole family. Sitting on the outside, the view of the pond is really beautiful.. the tables outside need a bit of an overall and the seats are comfortable except for the pole under your leg that cuts the blood flow to your toes.. esides that its an awesome litrle cafe type set up..

I go there pretty often, food is usually up to standard, the milktart milkshake is probably one of my most favorite milkshakes ever.

Although, I once was extremely disappointed, I went for lunch with my mom and she had ordered the chorizo scramble pretzel sandwich, it was not a pretzel sandwich, it came on a stale sesame seed bun and was a complete mess, to top it off - the waiter was extremely rude.
