After reading such bad reviews I was sceptical of going, but my steak was perfect. Nicely done and bursting with flavor šŸ‘Œ. Mushroom sauce was creamy and tasty, I had a greek salad which was just ok My date complained about his chicken and ribs combo though. Not to his expectations. Turn 'n Tender never disappoints! My personal favourite is anything with their cheese sauce. Great place to eat and incredible staff who are friendly and just amplify the experience. Wonderful atmosphere too. Asking for a cold plate makes all the difference when it comes to their steaks though.

I brought my family to take advantage of T n T's birthday special of a 300g sirloin steak and choice of side for only R42!.... Our food arrived sizzling and delicious. They didn't skimp on the portion size or the quality. I've deducted one star for poor waitron service but other than that, a great meal with even greater value.

Turn n Tender is by far our favourite steak house. It is our favourite for a few reasons: 1. The food is absolutely exquisite. They only use top notch quality meat and produce, and they REALLY know how to cook and prepare amazing meals. Their specialty would have to be the steaks. Regardless of the size/thickness of the steak, it's always cooked to perfection (medium-rare in my case and the recommended way to order a steak) and their ribs are to die for - super soft, really juicy, smoked BBQ sauce, and the meat just falls off the bone. Our favourite dessert is a chocolate lava pudding (chocolate fondant) served with ice-cream, which they make in the restaurant (most other restaurants serve the premade frozen variety ordered from a wholesaler), but be warned, this dessert is highly addictive it's so good! We have NEVER been disappointed by any meal served at Turn n Tender. 2. The ambiance is relaxed, modern and classy, and the theme is quintessentially South African with traditional South African dishes prepared with a modern twist. 3. The service is very good, and we typically only get served by the same handful of waiters. This means that the wait staff know us and we're always made to feel comfortable. The fact that they have a very low turnover of staff, is indicative of a pleasant work place, and happy staff are incentivized to do good work - which is shown in the food that comes out of the kitchen, and in the wait staff who bring it to your table. Turn n Tender is not a cheap place to eat at, but considering the quality of the food, the cost is certainly justified.

Really great service and absolutely awesome chow, we had the Sirloin steak and they were both cooked to perfection, lekka basting and superb taste, this was our second time (first time in Umhlanga and this second time in Ballito), and I can assure you both are very consistent and awesome

I was abit dissapointed by our lunch yesterday. The look of the restaurant is fantastic, comfy leather seats and a great upmarket look. The waiters were friendly but i found service very slow. The menu gets your mouth watering, the food sounds amazing. I ordered the biltong pate to start and the blue cheese burger for my main. The pate was ok, quite rich but worth trying. My blue cheese burger was also just ok. I asked for my patty to be cooked medium and it was closer to well done. The chips were good though. Little things could have made it great. Toast the bun and don't put a basting on the burger patty, let us taste the meat. This restaurant has potential but at the moment they need to work a little more. It is a new restaurant so it is understandable that there is bugs and they need to settle in. I hope in a few months that it will be better, i'd like to try it again.

Came down as I live abroad and my daughter was dying to go and eat a steak at the restaurant And was so disappointed that she said mom I will never return For a steak restaurant I found the steak not at all good The hot plates don't stay hot long enough for the steak to be kept hot and when I asked for a Blue steak got medium to well done steak and of a pale color Really was shocked You would expect a steak resturant would know how to make a steak Sadly very disappointed and will never return

#turnntenderballito we had an absolutely fabulous dining experience at turn 'n tender ballito. My husband's steak calamari main was outstanding and my vegetarian patter was perfectly seasoned and ample. Our waiter, Senzo, was attentive, well spoken and polite and the lighting, decor and music set a great ambience. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a great evening out!

Would definately return to this fine establishment... Ordered a 400g fillet steak, and the best pepper sauce I've ever tasted... I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The Wife had the pork ribs and mash, and also really enjoyed them. I guess the trick with our visit was getting there early, as we had great service, and the food didnt take too long to arrive. I love the look of the restaurant itself, and the prices were pretty much on par with other steakhouses.

Ordered a steak medium to medium rare. Was served well done. Manager came to the table and argued with me to the point were I ask for the bill and left. No apologies, just took the steak off the bill. Your service levels are non-existent. Maybe you should attend a course before dealing with customers this way. Wonā€™t see me again for sure.

Such a fantastic meal today. Friendly service and staff that went out of the way to make sure we had a lovely time. Celebrating my Dad's 72 birthday so we received a dessert and coffee on the house. Steak was tender and delicious. Gave a donation to Vision 153. So good food and a good deed at the same time. Please go and support them.

Tasty and comfort in a single serving. The Sunday Roast beef special was a hearty low-carb meal packed with full of flavour. Really enjoyed the sauce accompanied by the veggies. A definite must try restaurant if you're in Ballito. Wasn't too pleased with our waitress but the scenery was a quite tucked away restaurant at one of the entrances of the Ballito Junction mall.

So Iā€™m having a very average, warm steak commenting to my wife that I donā€™t ever want to come back here, when I see the chef take a piece of meat and squeeze it with his bare hands to test it. Too many alternatives to have to go through this

Beautiful upmarket steakhouse at Ballito Junction. We decided to have the Cut for 2 which was a huge piece of steak which is brought to the table uncut and carved right in front of you, was great seeing and hearing the steak sizzle on the tray. The meal comes with 2 sides we had chips and veggies (butternut & spinach) and 2 sauces. All in all an excellent meal and we were thoroughly stuffed afterwards. Ian

I took my fiancƩ on 23/10/2017 for his birthday at Turn n Tender Ballito. <br/>Upon arrival we were greeted with warm smiles. The staff members were so friendly and our waitor, Senzo served us fantastically. <br/>For starters I had deep fried squid heads and they were incredibly delicious and crispy. My fiancƩ had bone marrow soup and he enjoyed it. Afterwards we ordered biltong which was amazing when served with lemon. <br/>For mains we ordered long cut sirloin which was divine. Our sides were baked potatoes and creamed spinach. The spinach however was not creamy enough. <br/>The prices are very reasonable and affordable. <br/>I am DEFINITELY going back to this restaurant again. <br/>I honestly recommend Turn n Tender to those who love to enjoy a juicy steak with a glass of good wine. <br/><br/>

We absolutely loved our meal! <br/>I had a 200g fillet with baked potatoes and veggies. The medium steak was absolutely perfect. Had it with the standard basting and loved it. <br/>The boys all had cheese burgers and loved the extra cheese sauce that you get in addition to the slice of cheese.<br/>The mojitos were also great! <br/>And C had an ice cream sandwich for dessert... also great with nuts sprinkled around the edges.

It's a lovely restaurant with generally great service, but something was off last night. I was half way through my starter when they tried to bring my main meal! This lead to my steak being well done and a few other things that were not up to scratch. That said, the seafood soup was awesome and although my steak was overcooked it still tasted good.

This is our first visit to Ballito since the opening of the new shopping mall. We had a lovely dinner at Turn n Tender. The ribs were great !! The service was excellent too! If you like a meat dinner then definitely worth a visit !

I love Turn 'n Tender and am very impressed to find that the Ballito one is just as good as those in Joburg. Ā I love the cosy atmosphere, the layout and their food is consistently very good. Ā Their chips are the best I have yet to discover! Ā I do agree with one of the other reviews here that their sauces need work - they taste somewhat artificial to me. Ā Their pork ribs and lamb chops are delish, the grilled mushrooms are amazing and their steaks are excellent. Ā Haven't tried the deserts. Ā Service is efficient and friendly. Ā So far my favourite restaurant in the new mall by a long shot.

Good wholesome inyamas up in here. I had a chicken burger & it was most certainly above average. The chicken was really saucy and soft and went well with the caramelised onions and jalapeƱos. The chips were fresh and enjoyable. I tasted the lamb chops too and it was well worth it. Very nicely done. Satisfied tummy.

A good steak is a good night out. I enjoy this chain and eat at the pretoria and joburg stores.<br/><br/>I ate here in the first week they opened 5 times. Their meat is excellent as long as you keep it basic the food is exceptional. Make sure you don't get any basting on the meat or any sauces, they are way too sweet and all taste like barbecue. I tried the grilled chicken with peri sauce which also was a sweet barbecue sauce with some chili in. I have not enjoyed anything on their menu apart from the meat and three veg. Desserts are also very disappointing. The sauces and desserts need some modernizing. <br/><br/>The service is efficient even though they were new. It does need some tweaking with regard to speed and efficiency, but with some time I am sure they will get it right. Wine list is good with a nice selection of wine per glass. <br/> <br/>Stick to the meat, medium rare on a white plate with no basting or sauce and you will you be very happy. <br/>Loved the 700 gram shared slabs of meat.<br/><br/><br/>
