Stunning location, delicious food and friendly service. I had told the waitress that we were there for my parents 52nd wedding anniversary. At the end of the meal I was ordering dessert and then asked if they do anything for special occasions, she said just ice cream and went to get it.. The Manager, Perfect was his name, had spoken to us when we arrived and kept checking up.. my dad told him it's their wedding anniversary... Perfect made this ordinary lunch feel so memorable and my parents felt really special after he brought out a lovely dessert with the "Happy 52nd Anniversary". It's these little things that leave a great lasting impression on patrons.. And keeps us going back and more importantly telling our friends and family about our experience. Thank you Perfect, for being an awesome manager!!

I would like to thank the manager (Perfect) for all his effort into making our experience the best. Such friendly service by our waiter (Snqobile). OB had the best food and service from all the nearby options.

The food was pretty good. The chocolate milkshakes were below average. Setting and view are beautiful! The waitress needed training on serving tables as well as gluten-free dietary requirements.

Had such a wonderful experience today. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff. Menu has a wide variety of options and we had no issue getting something vegetarian. The Veg Sushi was extremely flavourful and fresh. Added to the amazing food was the spectacular view and the exceptional service from Cyril. Manager was friendly and made a turn to check up on us. Must visit not only for the food and view but also the lovely staff. Keep it up guys!

Awesome looking store so inpressed clean everything thing in its place. It feels like I am in the Med on a island 🏝. Sushi 🍣 was good quality and fresh. Service given by Cindy was professional 👏. Manager was also good checking on all his customers.

Had sort of given up on Ocean Basket but heard the Ballito branch was great so gave it a try. Wow was pleasantly suprised. Food was amazing. Love Calamari so that was my choice. One of the best meals ever. Service was really efficient and pleasant. Venue is large and upstairs has the best views. Loved it

Ocean Basket in Ballito has an awesome view of the Indian ocean!... it is a great spot to sit and watch the dolphins. The restuarant is clean and decor is lovely - it gives a real seaside vibe. The food is always fresh and tasty. The zucchini fries are delicious... my new favourite! So too is the mellow-berry dessert. I can recommend this as a daily staple. The strawberry daiquiri cocktail is a must! The staff are friendly and helpful. Thank you! Always a great experience to gather at Ocean Basket with family and friends!

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. We were seated next door and ordered take away sushi and dessert.They delivered our meals within a short space of time. Looked amazing and tasted fantastic. The sushi was fresh and you cannot.go wrong with chocolate lava cake...brilliant service guys

Came in for my birthday and had the sushi lunch box as well as the lunch box the food was amazing will not regret coming there again and the waitress nqobile was extremely helpful keep up with the amazing food

One of the most scenic Ocean Baskets out there. Food was Great to OB standards. Oysters weren't the Freshest tho.

Absolutely delicious! Great view! Great service! They were celebrating their first birthday and we were allowed to draw a 'gift' from a bowl, such a cute idea to show public appreciation. My husband had a platter for one, and everything was cooked perfectly. I had sushi, I didn't enjoy the fried chips over the sushi, found it a little stale.

Got our dose of vitamin "sea" today! Such a pleasant experience at OB Ballito. The view was so beautiful, which such a great ambiance. The food was amazing. Thanks so much OB Ballito!

What a fantastic day out.<br/>The food was incredible, and even though there was a minor issue with some food being cold, the manager and our waitress were quick in sorting it out for us and gave us a brand new plate - which was delicious.<br/>The sushi melted in our mouths and the mussels (and sauce) were to die for.<br/>Not a single cent wasted on today's awesome lunch out.<br/>Great service, great food and a brilliant view.

As always, ocean basket never fails to impress. <br/><br/>If you’re a sushi fan, the salmon roses are always an excellent choice and this franchise didn’t fail to deliver!

Loved this place which is just by the Indian Ocean! One can enjoy their food with an awesome view of ocean...Their sea food selection is good and tastes yummy...worth the visit:)

We accidentally reached this place after Mozambik was crowded and Gianni’s was getting renovated. Eating with an ocean view is a surreal experience. We ordered the platter for 2 and it had a good variety. The mussels and prawns were the best cooked and tasted awesome. The carafe of lemonade kept us refreshed

I really like Ocean Basket in general, which is why they were the restaurant of choice on Uber Eats for my overnight stay. I ordered 2 portions of Sushi which came to R188 incl delivery. But it arrived looking really unappetising and definitely not worth the money.

I'm not a fan of Ocean Basket, but this particular branch has managed to change my mind. The food cannot dissapoint and the setting is so surreal looking out over the ocean.

Amazing setting, fantastic view overlooking the beach, good attentive servers. Sushi was good, my son and I shared the platter for two. The fish platter for one was ok. The squid heads were overcooked and the sauce on the mussells had too much garlic in it. However, the fish, calamari and prawns were excellent, however I find Ocean Basket to be over priced. This was by far our most expensive dining experience on this trip.

Fresh, yummy seafood with friendly staff and a magnificent sea view. Highly recommended when visiting Ballito. I enjoyed the 3 way calamari with salad and my husband had grilled dorado with mixed veggies. Delicious.
