Review Cherubs - Alberton

I think one of the best part of the Cherubs experience is the delightful manager of the store, who always has a beautiful smile and friendly attitude. We decided to give the little coffee shop/home industry (tuisnywerheid) a try this week and it was definitely worth a stop by. The store has been at this centre for a number of years and is probably one of the oldest stores there, mind you they moved from the bottom end to the top section near the bottle store and fish shop. Food was delicious and freshly prepared, the coffee was also quite good. Prices are affordable for what you get and the chips are fresh potato which was also very welcome. They have an amazing assortment of cakes, savouries and snacks including blind pastry cases for your own home inspired delights. I was impressed at the fact that this store gives so many people opportunities to sell their wares here and it really is great to see small businesses supporting the community and each other. They do amazing pregos and rissoles as well, so if you fancy a quick bite - then this is the quick stop you need. Unfortunately they are facing stiff competition with the new franchise Portuguese coffee store, but if you don't want this legacy store that supports the community to disappear, you know what you got to do....pop in to Cherubs and give your taste buds a treat, while being enthused with interesting stories by the lady manager who has lived in the area for almost 4 decades, she can give you great history and insight of the area.

Cute place, the jaffels are really tasty and the staff is very friendly.

They are in their new premises, the food is great and their selection of goodies is amazing.

My daughter's birthday is on 1 January so I needed a cake. I phoned Bella on 31 Dec 2020 - they were closed but she offered to phone one of her bakers to hear if they could accommodate me in baking a cake, she confirmed with me that they could help me and offered to open her shop on 1 Jan 2021 so I could pick up the cake which I did. The cake was even decorated with "Happy Birthday" and she provided candles. Bella really went out of her way to help me! The cake was absolutely delicious and the service OUTSTANDING. Thank you soooo much Bella! I will always support you and advertise your outstanding service!!!

Wonderful little gem. Coffeeshop and home bake where one can buy delicious cakes, cupcakes, biscuits and many more. Also have delicious platters. Food is great and value for money. Owner and staff are very friendly.

What a GORGEOUS little coffee shop and such amazing people . The cakes and snacks are off the hook ... coffee is DEVINE ... they a small operation with personal care and service to each and every client that walks through the door... I strongly encourage everyone to go and support them in this difficult time and let the over priced chains sort themselves out ...

Such a quaint little place. Very different options on the menu. Food is always good. And of course being a home industry as well, you can take home something sweet and maybe a home made preserve or two. The Picalili is incredible.

Loved this coffee shop! Delicious cakes, tarts, biscuits and a huge variety of fudge! Very friendly staff and such a nice atmosphere, definitely worth a visit!

Little slow, but good food

Had to scale down because of the dreaded virus, but Bella is doing her very best. Worth a visit. Still has all the nice stuff good service good coffee

My secret little hide away. Good food friendly service. Just a nice little quaint place. I always end up overspending on cookies and pastries on my way out the door.

Very quaint venue, good food, tasty and well prepared, friendly staff. And just bought some shortbread biscuits from there and something called "angel fudge" - biscuits were the best ever and fudge was truly heavenly.
