Review Rocky Peak Spur Steak Ranch - Alberton

We visited this spur a week ago and had such a pleasant experience, overall, that we had to go back last night to see if they weren't just just having a "good day." Their service was really good. We did not really have time to wait, and someone was always close by if we needed extra wipes or anything. The food was very good, all of us really enjoyed our meals! They are truly family friendly, going above and beyond to accommodate and serve us even with our hands full with our busy little ones. You can tell when someone is just doing their job or really good at their job! The playing areas inside and outside were really fun with a wide range of choices and ages. Many cameras from different angles in the areas with a person present in each area. They also presented a short magic show for some of the older kids and some facepainting. They went out their way for some birthday parties and special occasions on both nights. We will definitely be going back and also recommend them, especially to other tired parents with busy little ones. Thank you so much, guys!

Really enjoyed this Spur. Not too large or noisy. Huge kids play area and quite spacious unlike outer Spur branches. Service was awesome, friendly staff and not a long wait for meals. Food was perfect. Tried there pizza for the first time and quite impressed. Would definitely visit again.

My family's every Friday dinner spot😊. Best customer service, clean environment, safe playing area for our Lil ones and the best food ever. And shout out to Victor(one of the waiters) he is our everytime waiter and he knows what we want and how we prefer our food. Keep up the good work

I'm going to say up front, that I am not a fan of Spur in general. I really do think that generally, they are way overpriced for what they offer and only went to this branch out of necessity for the guest I was with! It didn't start too well - we got our drinks quickly, but asked the Waitron (Debra) for a "few minutes" to consider the menu. After 30 minutes, she has still not returned to take our order and we had to ask another waitron to assist us. In the end, they found Debra. But that's where the poor service ended. The Nacho's starter was excellent and one of the few dishes which are good value for money for it's price. I had the 300g fillet, which was very good but expensive at R 164.00 and my guest had the Rib Burger, which was also excellent. Drinks were cold and served promptly and the Irish Coffee at the end of the meal was also first class. A much better Spur experience than I've had in the past at other branches. However, as I live in Pretoria, I probably won't be a regular here but in the end, we enjoyed our experience. And, Debra, our waitron, after her initial lax service was excellent thereafter - she made a special effort to make up! If I need to eat in Alberton again, I will definitely come back.

The staff are always friendly and a lot of them know our son's name so that makes it special. The food is always good, the service excellent and generally we've never had a bad experience there. If something has been wrong, it has always been resolved quickly and nothing is too much trouble.

What a disappointment we have tonight at this Spur...from the get go on arriving we had to repeat our order to our very "incompetent" waitron. My wife ordered a burger without the meat and have sauteed mushrooms, what we got is a dry staile bun with the mushrooms in a seperate bowl and nothing on the bun...we have sent it back and when we got it back all they did was placing the slice of tomato and lettuce which was on the side on the bun with a dollop of 1000 island sauce, no other trimmings, i.e gherkin, onion, like you would have on a normal beef burger. The onion rings tasted like sweaty armpits. When it came to ordering our dessert we had to repeat our order again, seriously WTF....We order one half classic waffle with ice cream and a full Bar-one banana waffle...we got the classic waffle with ice cream and syrup but instead of getting the full Bar-one banana waffle with ice cream i got two cups of ice cream with bar-one sauce and wafers....seriously how do you train your people and where do you get your waiters from, do you pick them off the street or what. Rocky Peak Spur will never see me again, never....then the manager (white guy) spends his time with having a smoke and a visit with his friend instead of interacting with his patrons.....this is and has been the worst experience of my life with Spur....Rocky Peak Spurs' service and food has gone down the drain.

Had a decent time, food was good. Only hiccup was the Sprite the wife ordered came in a dirty glass. So did the replacement. Manager came round and apologised, this without us calling for him, that was good service. All in all a good time was hadm

Spend my birthday there last night ...even though the waiters are friendly and highly competent,there's still no minimum wages for them,it breaks everybody's heart's that our friends are only relying on us the client's to pay,just like their employer ...that sad part needs to be fixed.

Yesterday me and my husband went to buy food. One of the waiters came greeted us and gave us menus. We told him we are buying take aways. He threw the menus at us and turned his back and left. We waited there for almost 20 minutes no one came to take our order. We left no one bothered to ask us why are we leaving. I’m hoping we are not being served well because of our tips. Because even take away customers are still customers.

When we walked in, you can smell the flamed grilled food, but as I tasted my dubble spur burger it tasted like a frozen bland patty that bepends on the souse. Its still a great spur atmosphere

I ordered take aways from here, chips were under cooked!!! I could not eat them at all, I'm disgusted, very dry too. I won't order from spur again. Never mind the fact that they are very expensive. Veg are tasty, if spinach was gritty it would have been perfect

Haven't been to Spur for a while and must say it's one of my least favorite places to eat. I was pleasantly surprised today though by the service and quality of the food. Something has definitely changed. <br/>Andile the waiter wiped away all previous horrors with his attentiveness and properly balanced service and the quality of the food was also better than I have ever experienced. <br/>Well done to spur and I hope it stays this way.

Spur has become so overpriced. There is no real value for money anymore, especially if you take out the whole family. The service is average and the food was alright but it doesn't justify those prices!

I would just like to say that the manager Brian was extremely rude and argued with a customer about what she ordered which is wrong she asked for a medium to rare steak and they gave her welldone the waitress made the mistake of ordering welldone steak and that's when the manager told us that we clearly ordered welldone which we didn't this is extremely poor management skills he was suppose to fix the problem instead of argue with us and it destroyed a whole families morning where we were perfectly fine before we came on... This is unfair.

I'm what you call a typical "Spur Girl", which basically means that if you're going to ask me where we should eat, the first thing that crosses my mind is usually Spur. <br/>My favourite things to eat at Spur include the buffalo wings, ribs and the nachos but this time I was at Spur for the breakfast and it was just so disappointing. Firstly the breakie looked nothing like what the menu shows, the service was super slow and our waitress was not the most friendliest of waitresses I've come across. She brought us warm orange juice, yes, I said warm - yuck... can you imagine that on a hot day? We had to ask for ice to try and get the orange juice chilled and to top it off, asking for extras like a side plate, ice, a glass of water and some tomato sauce was a mission because our waitress gave us a subtle but very obvious display of a bad attitude. We ate because we were hungry. Our food was dry and bland. The one thing I did enjoy was my sunny side up eggs. I don't know if I'll be going back there but if ever I do, I hope the service will be better because I love eating at Spur and it's nice to know that when I am in Brackendowns there is a Spur that I can go to to enjoy some of my favourite meals.

The quality of the food is not as good as it used to be. They do run on generator and have nice play area for the kids though, my kids enjoy the little airplane.
